DANCE STYLES
JAZZ
Jazz is one of our most popular dance styles across all ages.
Focusing on building strong dance technique (kicks, jumps & turns) to enhance flexibility, quality of movement, coordination & fitness. Current, energetic choreography is combined with popular music & 'classics' from the genre.
BALLET
We teach the ballet syllabus set out by The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the largest international examining body for classical ballet.
We offer ballet classes for twirling Petites through to our stunning Advanced grades. Students complete their grade work and have the opportunity to participate in ballet exams and cover the content of the syllabus in depth to develop strong classical technique and performance quality.
Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exams
RAD Exams are offered in:
Primary, Grades 1-5, Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation & Advanced 1 & 2
RAD Ballet Exams promote discipline and support students to set and achieve goals. Students learn classical ballet technique, posture, poise and artistry.
In order to complete a ballet exam, students must attend two ballet classes per week from Grade 1 and above.

LYRICAL
Combining the techniques of Jazz and Classical ballet, Lyrical is a fluid and more expressive form of dance commonly performed to ballad music.
Students focus on expression, stretch, strength and a high level of technique while gaining fluidity of movement, grace and control.
CONTEMPORARY
Contemporary dance is a blend of modern dance and classical technique. It builds a strong centre and combines precision leg work with the ability to go in between strong, sharp and fluid movements of the torso.
Contemporary dance encourages self-expression, combines modern dance movement with abstract expression including strength, physicality and a high level of technique.
ACROBATICS
In Acrobatics, students will learn how to tumble and do ‘tricks’ such as cartwheels, back flips, backward walkovers etc, whilst building up their flexibility, upper body strength, body awareness and coordination.
Acrobatics classes are graded and offered for advanced and recreational students. All levels of experience are welcome.
HIP HOP
Hip Hop is a combination of street and urban dance styles and is a soulful expression of movement.
Students are encouraged to develop their own style and Hip Hop feel while learning current, industry choreography in an age appropriate environment.
TAP
Our Tap classes follow the syllabus Tap Mode. Tap classes focus on musicality, percussion and coordination. Students are taught both fast and slow rhythmical combinations and exercises, reflecting the styles from Fred Astaire through to Tap Dogs. A great class to compliment any budding musical theatre student.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Inspired by Broadway musicals such as Wicked, Greece, Fame, Annie and Chicago. Our Musical Theatre classes are extremely popular and loads of fun with a strong focus on entertainment with a combination of singing and dancing.
